About Moi
How did I become the Healing Play Coach™? In 1991 I found the perfect job as an activity director in a nursing home. My mission? Create and implement an activity program that included art, music, exercise, Chapel, parties, cooking, book clubs and gardening. It was an awesome gig…I got paid to play. It was this job experience that taught me that wellness can be created through play. In 1994, I created an healing activity program, the Inner Rhythms Activity Program or IRAP, for activity directors working in long-term care. I have trained thousands of activity directors in the US and Cananda on how to provide IRAP in their long-term care communities.
In 2003, I had
two major health
"events". It was my Healing Play Programs that helped me survive and thrive.
I used healing play to quit smoking,
nourish my body,
quiet my mind and
engage in FUN exercise.
