I am a published author that includes a book of poetry, a script, e-books and articles. Writing has been my passion since high school. I believe telling our stories can give us direction, help us heal and give others hope and inspiration. I am currently working on two books.
I started drawing and painting in junior high school and haven’t stopped. I love the creative process of creating images. These days I use art as a meditation and coaching tool. For example, the painting at the top of this page is called Jazz in Watercolor. If you look close you can see the hand and feel the notes.
As a coach I have combined coaching tools with creative writing and expressive art for a deep interpersonal experience. It is a It’s a unique coaching experience that provides rich and positive outcomes.
In December 2108 I learned how strong I really was. I was diagnosed with brain cancer. After surgery and radiation there is no evidence of disease. I literally hit the ground running learning all I could about cancer. I share my experience and knowledge in my blog, Kimba’s Musings.
At the University of Montevallo I studied Theatre, English and Art. In addition, I studied Holistic Health at the American Institute of Holistic Theology.
To complement my education, I invested in five coach training programs.
In 2010 I became a certified creativity coach through the Kaizen Muse training program. In 2014 I completed the International Coaching Federation (ICF) training and certification.
I am proud of my work as a coach. I have provided over 850 individual sessions as well as over fifty online group coaching classes. My Udemy class, Kaleido Journaling for Self-Awareness uses coaching tools, art and writing to help students learn more about themselves.

I live in a magical cottage in Northern California with my spouse and daughter. We host four cats and are somewhat proficient in cat herding. I have a very special friend, Olivia the Boston Terrier. You can often find us in our enchanted garden reading, laughing, eating and creating.
